Following Virginia’s DD Waiver Manual, our caregivers provide direct support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to help clients maintain health, hygiene, and comfort. Services include:

  • Medication administration within DMAS regulations and provider scope
  • Monitoring health status and performing basic health-related tasks (e.g., vital signs, reminders)

  • Implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans developed by licensed professionals
  • Monitoring and reporting behavior data to specialists or case managers
  • Use of crisis de-escalation techniques (for trained staff)

  • Respite care, when authorized separately in the ISP
  • Regular updates on client progress and needs
  • Guidance and support for caregiver planning

Service Coordination Activities

Our staff actively collaborates with support coordinators and other team members to ensure high-quality care:

  • Participation in ISP meetings, assessments, and updates
  • Documentation of daily progress, goal tracking, incidents, and service records per DMAS guidelines
